Disc for Atlas Fallen on Xbox Series X, when install it, then update it, then put disc back...

Disc for Atlas Fallen on Xbox Series X console, you install it, then update it, then put disc back it, it opens the base install with addon again, this seems to be the only Christmas game I got that has this problem with my Series X console,

its opening the installing menu after you have downloaded all the updates for the game, when you insert the disc, it automatically instead of launching the game, it instead will open the menu where you first picked the game and its addon for it that's included on the disc, I don't know if this was a bug in the media, or something that got patched in the updates that cause this on the series x console,

it was a Christmas gift to me, my sister got it from a Game Stop store, I got two other games for Christmas from parents who got the other two from the amazon website that were Lies of P and Lords Fallen which play just fine on the internal hard drive, but they didn't come with addons.

This disc looks fine, and installs and then it does update, and it runs fine if I click on the game icon, but each time I put this disc into the console, it brings up the menu as seen in this screenshot I took with my tablet. as you can see from the last image I shared here, the disc itself looks fine, its clean and has no marks on it, as far as I know the disc was created and burned correctly from the maker of this game. the game seems to play fine, as long as you have the disc in, but each time you put the disc into the console, it brings up the selection menu for reinstalling it, even when it shows it as installed. its launching that, instead of the game icon itself from the hard drive. if you cancel this menu with B button then click on the game icon, it will launch the game, and so far I been able to play it just fine, but again I think it's a bug that its launching this menu from this picture instead of the game itself on the series x, also I have my series x console updated fully with all the console updates, that it detects so far as of 12/29/2023.

I did have a problem with Lies of P game, where the upgrade patch Series X interfered with the installer for that one game but it's not related to this game installer problem, it had a update, that was preventing Lies of P from being installed, after I canceled the update upgrade thing, and installed that game, then updated it afterwards it didn't cause me any more problems and was playable, it does not launch a menu like this game does. when you put in Lies of P into the series x console it launches the game itself. and not an installer for that game like this one did. Lies of P is also a disc game not a digital version. Try cleaning the disc with a soft, lint-free cloth on disc, like from a reading glasses case? I have not tried that since I don't see anything on the surface of the disc,
so I am thinking that should not be needed, since the disc image looks fine, and there are no hand marks on the disc surface at all, its as clean as a blu ray disc when brought new, since this video game is also new and not used from a local Game Stop store near me.

I moved this topic to Series X/S area on the forums, I am thinking maybe Games issues was the wrong area to post to at this point. I don't know if moving it will help or not,
but I feel like I need to figure out the problem on my own or look at other websites for answers or use the contact support on the Xbox website for their chat, I had forgot about that one.

something I needed to ask which I had forgotten to ask is anyone else being affected by this problem?

Atlas Fallen on Xbox Series X console or is it just my copy that has the problem, again my sister had brought it from GameStop, so she should be able to return it if needed if that disc is defective, since again it was a Christmas gift to me. if that needed to happen at and maybe she can get a replacement copy if this copy is bad. or if it's not just my copy, and it's a software problem in the firmware for the Series X console, then trading in this copy for a good one would do no good, I should of made that clearer if that needs to happen or not, or; if it's just my copy that might be bad? or if all of the discs for this video game are not working right on the series x console?
I guess you might not know if that's the case or not?

I understand you might not want to say if it's a big batch of discs that were created badly bad disc burns like DVD-R going bad that type of thing you might not be able to tell from my post or questions from me about it, since it does say on this case, that's it's a Microsoft video game on the back of the case. if it has anything to do with the installer menu coming up each time this disc is put into the console, but the discs might just be fine, or I got a disc with software bug like the reply might say not sure, in any case, I figure it out at some point, since so far, there been no in game bugs that I can notice, only problem in game quest wise I have had so far is finding more than 8 applies in the apple theft quest taking 10 applies and I only found 8 of them so far, when I go to the area where 2 of the applies should be there is nothing on the landscape in the city that part of Atlas Fallen , I am now far beyond the sunken city I am past that point in the video game now. I got 8 out of 10 of them found, so I don't know if that's a game bug or not. since the location for 2 of them I am having trouble locating it in that city in the plot of the game, it's the city after you go to the sunken city in this video game, past the lighting of the fires for the church in this game to keep the monsters away from the city that part of it. I try to write that I can explain this without a spoiler text in this post. I am trying to explain the in-game quest, that might have a bug in it, I am not sure if that's a real bug or I am just lost in finding the right location for 2 of the apples for that quest, since 2 of them are still missing in my save game which is a side quest mission and not a main quest of this video game.

also, you cannot play series X games from the disc or digital video games from the Microsoft store if their a Series X game title from any external hard drive like a 4TB gaming drive brought from GameStop store for example, they only work or launch or play from internal hard drive built into the console or its expansion card slot in the series x console if you have one, which I don't own that for it yet. I don't own a Series S console, so I don't know since that one does not come with a drive, it only does digital video games, so that might be different I don't know for sure.

external 2TB or 4TB USB hard drives only launch and play the Xbox One or Xbox One X games and not Series X games cannot launch and play them on a external hard drive.

Also, something weird happened to the margins of the text box on this website, it seems to be messed up now, since my text was not displaying right from the edge browser in windows 11 on my desktop, so I tried to edit this the best I can for now, until I figure out what happened to the text box here, seems to be not displaying correctly at this time tonight, I don't recall the text box looking like this smaller than it was before a few days ago, but maybe I changed a setting that I am not aware of I look into that another day, since its late at night here at home.
