    Disc drive on Xbox one no longer recognized


    My disc drive on my xbox all of sudden stopped working. "Disc drive not recognize" How can I fix this problem?

    I recommend you follow the steps on this page: https://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-one/console/disc-error#0f5833efb983482aa7de9b94f7ff68aa.
    It might help resolve your issue with the disc drive.
    If the suggestions from that Support page don't work, then the disc drive might be failing.

    I have a Day One Xbox One, and I'm pretty sure my disc drive is failing too. It does read games.. eventually. I usually have to insert the disc a couple times before the console recognizes my physical games / movies.

    Is the disc at least recognized? Are CDs or Blu Rays recognized?

    The disc function is not connected to the xbl core service. So it may be an issue with your disc drive. As there were lots of problems with drives not reading game discs properly, but reading movie or music discws, your console ma ybe in need of some service.

    Meanwhile as workaround you may try holding the disc a second longer when the drive tries to take it and then release the disc.
