    Disc can't be read.


    I'm having a weird combo issue. My disc, while it works in my roommates xbox won't work in mine. However my other games read just fine. So if the disc works and my box works why won't they work together? Any ideas?

    Rock band 4 disc can't be read

    I bought rock band 4 about a month ago. I had an issue getting the disc to install. After installation it would read the disc for about a day, now I can barley get it to read the disc at all. Every single one of my Xbox game discs load except this one.
    I've talked to harmonix, GameStop (where I bought it) and no one will help me. Am I just out the money I payed and stuck with a defective game?

    Hey there Childocybertron,

    Do you see the same issue with others disc based games as well? It sounds like the disc may be the issue and needs to be replaced. If you're within the return/exchange period with the retailer, it's best to work with them to attempt to change the disc.

    Sorry to hear about the Xbox 360 disc drive trouble. To get you on the right track, let's have you run through the

    Disc Drive Troubleshooter    . Make sure to give all the steps a try, Unfortunately, if those steps don't help a repair or replacement is going to be your best option with your Xbox 360.

    I'm afraid that will not work, since the license for that game needs to be read from the disc. Since the Series S doesn't have a disc drive it can't be read.
