If you pay for a magazine subscription, newspaper subscription, cable/satellite tv, or internet service then you have absolutely no room to complain about seeing ads on XBL.



One very simple solution is to adjust your console settings to load the game in the disc tray at each start up so you don't have to see the Dashboard at all. Or do as VoteDC suggested and disconnect your console from Live.

No. There is no way to turn them off.

Well yes there is a way to turn them off, it is called disconnecting your console from Live.

Do that and the console will default to the My Xbox channel. However as a means of removing the ads it is a little extreme.

However the new dashboard launches on the 6th of December and that has a completely different layout to the current NXE, so that may be more to your liking.

I cannot disable ads by upgrading to premium version of taptiles. When I click on disable ads in dash mode after I finish playing a game nothing happens.

If you don't like the ads, ignore them. Ads are everywhere.......and I mean everywhere.......it's a part of life. Look at Hulu plus, or whatever, it's a paid service and it still has ads.
