Direct Field Handwriting Recognition

Apologies, I was confused when you referred the Xbox App as the Xbox companion and found the Xbox Dev Mode companion, which is what I thought you were asking about.

However, I'm still not sure what the question is and what is not working that was before. The pictures helped clarify that you were indeed referring to the Xbox App but is this on Windows 10 or a mobile device? I'm still not entirely sure what direct field
handwriting recognition is or the Tablet PC Input Panel as looking both those terms up didn't bring up any helpful results.

Are you saying that instead of typing on the keyboard, you want to use a free writing option instead with a stylus and touch screen device similar to the last picture that you posted?

This setting is not familiar to me on the Xbox App.

For PalmettoBling: The handwriting panel already appears. But, I prefer to directly write in the text field, as shown in my third screenshot. Also, I do use

a third-party keyboard.





It looks to be working after restarting my computer. With time, I will see how many times that is replaced by the Tablet PC Input Panel. I anticipate That behavior, since it has happened before.

In Windows 10, the keyboard has the option in the top right to switch the Keyboard from key input to handwriting (left most > right most option). I've attached a screenshot of what it looks like with the default Windows 10 keyboard. I'm not sure if you're
using a skin for the interface, or a different applicatoin for the keyboard alltogether, but you might want to see if that is available for you, or try switching back to the default keyboard and see if the option is there?

First, are you referring to the Xbox Dev Mode companion?: I do not know that one.

That is within the Settings application’s Find a setting field. The Xbox companion has historically done this. Currently, it currently does not.

In order to provide you with the best assistance, we need some more information on this application you are referring to and what it is exactly you are trying to do that you cannot due to this error.

First, are you referring to the Xbox Dev Mode companion? Are you a part of the dev program for Xbox? The Creators program or ID@Xbox?

Looking up what you are describing came back with very little results so having more information on the situation will be very helpful for us to guide you in the right direction to get you the help you need.
