    Direct Debit despite cancelling


    I have cancelled my sons account yrs ago and despite contacting my bank and

    xbox I still get charged every month, sometimes €16.99 as well as the €6.99

    I am at my wits end over all the payments I have made despite an xbox customer

    care person saying this account has not been used in yrs. I have tried everything

    to get refunded through xbox as my bank say its up to them to refund me.

    I have tried everything phoning live chat etc. I am still been charged despite cancelling the

    account too many times for me to remember . Deleting my credit card stopping

    direct debits etc. Is there anyone that can advice ?? My only choice now is to take legal proceedings.

    im off to the dentist now..if by 7pm tonight I cant access xbox live..im cancelling my direct debit.....don't believe me mr bloody beeps?....watch this space!

    Greeting's Ashley, Sorry to hear you are having problem's. First off, have you tried cancelling the direct debit with your bank even know it is expired ? Is your direct debit on your console as such ? If so, the payment's will still be coming out of your
    account if you have no turned automatic renewal off. You could also phone Xbox support up and tell them about this issue and say you have already posted on the forums as they some time's redirect you to here.

    be sure to double check every account you have on
    http://account.microsoft.com/services     to see if any subscriptions show up.

    If no subscriptions are showing there, then there is a different cause for the charges. Either a different account you haven't checked or someone may have gotten access to your credit card details.

    In such case I would advise to contact the credit card (bank) company to stop those charges.

    If it does originate from one of your Microsoft Accounts then you should be able to cancel the subscriptions immediately via that link, if that for some reason fails you will have to contact Xbox Support via Phone or Microsoft Support Chat and they should
    be able to cancel the subscription(s) immediately.

    Why have I not been refunded?

    I wouldn't have thought so, it normally takes a few days for a direct debit to be cancelled by the banks.

    Cancelling XBOX live gold subscription on No longer used account - cannot remember email / probably no longer exists

    Contact your Bank and ask then to cancel the direct debit ,that way it will stop any payments coming out of your account and it should end the subscription .
