Digital version of MSFS2020... why it ask me a game disc?

First, check your time settings, and set it to automatic.

Press the Windows Key + X > Settings > Time & language > Date & time > Enable "Set Timezone Automatically" and "Set Time Automatically".

Afterward, make sure your Windows is updated:

Then, reset the Microsoft Store:

Press the Windows Key + R

Type WSReset.exe and press Enter.

Afterwards, please, download the Gaming Services Repair tool: https://aka.ms/GamingRepairTool

Once downloaded, execute the file by right-clicking on it and selecting Run as Administrator.

Follow the prompts and check if the issue was resolved.

Moving on from there, reset your network settings:

That's why I should've asked that earlier. Just a friendly reminder though that on Xbox Series S it's an All-Digital game console which means that the reason why you're experiencing the issue is due to the license of the game. Since it is a disc game, the disc needs to be inside the console in your case since it's a digital console you need to re-purchase the digital version.

I see what you mean now. The UK version of Xbox.com doesn't say that.

Even the GAME website makes you think its a disc version.

But looking at the US website I can see why the OP is asking.

Seems really odd so sell a collectors edition and not include a disc. Could it be you get a digital download as well as a disc?

Excuse me if I ask you but you had the physical version of the game in question? Then it explains why it does not appear in the list of digital games.
