Digital purchases not adding points

Im buying games digitally on sales recently but dont get any points at all... there should be 1250 points for every purchase... im not sure program works at all

Can I buy MS points on XBOX ONE with paypal rather than credit card

Since the Microsoft point system was discontinued in August, it is no longer possible to add more currency to your account like that. Although if you would be adding your Paypal to your account for that purchase, you could still use that to purchase content.
You can also purchase digital codes from places like Amazon.

 

MS Points Purchase "Payment Instrument..." Issue

Creating this thread at Support's request.

Tried to purchase 6000 MS Points through website, but received "Your payment instrument could not be authorized. Please contact your provider, or try a different payment option" message. Have not tried to purchase points in several months. The card
in account was just used elsewhere successfully prior to attempt. This is the same and only payment option in account and has worked with previous MS Point purchases and account renewal.

Tried adding a PayPal payment option (same card) but received same message as above.

Tried adding bank card, but still could not purchase due to same message.

Tried to purchase fewer points, but..... well, you can guess the result.

 

There is no offer to receive 1250 credits for every purchase. There is an offer to receive 1250 credits for making your first purchase. In order to qualify, the purchase has to be made using currency from your Microsoft account balance, not by credit card/paypal.
Credits should show as pending about 96 hours after an eligible purchase.

Otherwise, in order to receive credits, the purchases either have to be eligible for another offer on the site, or you need at least 1 star level in order to receive VIP rebates.

You can earn Xbox Live Rewards Credit in two ways:

1. By finishing the offers located on the MyMissions page at Xbox Live Rewards .

-or-

2. For non-offer purchases, you can earn Credits by earning a one star MyVIP level through purchasing at least $300 USD or regional equivalent of eligible content. After you receive your first star you will begin to earn a percentage of your eligible purchases
back as payback Rewards Credit. Pre-orders, in-game consumables, and subscriptions are not eligible for MyVIP.

The 1250 is from the First Time Purchase offer.
