When will digital game purchases or preorders qualify for the points bonuses that are currently offered for the hard copy versions for the rewards program?

Rewards Points

I received a bonus offer for 5000 rewards points if I made a digital purchase on Xbox store greater than $25. I made a purchase, digital download for $33 and I have received no points in my rewards account. I would like to know what is going on.

Points not showing

I purchased the digital edition of Ghost Recon Wildlands almost 2 weeks ago. My rewards points for both the purchase itself and the bonus still do not show on my account, not even as pending? Why!?

Digital pre-orders already do qualify in our program! You can get 15,000 Credits once you complete a total of three eligible digital pre-orders through the Games on Demand offer.

Dude check the threads and the news. MS announced digital purchases will include pre order bonuses for the first 2 weeks they go on sale.

For me, it will depend on what kind of pre-order bonuses are available. The bonuses can be retail specific sometimes, which means that it would need to be purchased in the store. At that point I might as well buy the physical copy of the game rather than
the digital copy.

Yes, UK, MS is working on plans for preordering and preloading digital downloads. As to the preorder bonuses, i understand what you mean, but those are actually up to the developers and not MS themselves. Many developers are offering special bonuses for
digital downloaders, others offer the same bonuses for digital day-one purchases (some unlimited, some limited-time availability) as are available on their physical preorders.

Basically, the only outlet here is to complain to the developers and companies of individual games if you learn that their digital and day-one downloads do not offer equivalents to the pre-order bonuses. These details and more can be found here (pre order
