    Digital games stored under non existent email and gamertag that my special needs son...


    I have an xbox email address and password. My son created an account while he was playing a few years ago and because he is the only one that plays and we have instant sign on installed we had no idea he was in a different account. We know the gamertag
    associated with it and the email address (even though it isn't a real email, he just used his first and last name @gmail.com) but we don't know the password. We can't change the password bc the link to a new password would go to the non existent email address.
    Please help. He can't get to any of his games and I can see his gamertag but it says offline. Thank you!

    Thanks for reaching out to the forums for advice on how to deal with this issue. I can totally understand how this could be pretty distressing for anyone to have to deal with. Unfortunately, it seems you're kind of in a tight spot. The only recourse you
    might have would be to follow
    the steps here    . If that doesn't work, you would have to probably have to buy the games again.

    The only thing I would suggest is make the e-mail address/email the address to see if the owner can help for a moment.

    Or contact Xbox support directly.
    This website     has additional info about this. Because you really need to have Microsoft staff for this.

    SAME SITUATION

    I created a XBOX LIVE account for my son over a decade ago. I used my work email address when I created the gamertag. Back then Microsoft's services were not lumped under one login (that didn't even exist). When Microsoft deployed their one login system they
    merged my son's Xbox Live account into my work Microsoft account.

    Now my son is an adult. We need to transfer HIS Xbox Live gamertag to HIS Microsoft account.

    This is idiotic.

    Hey there Lord! OK, so right now Aznoth is on your console, correct? Can you log in to that account, navigate to Account Management, and look under WLID. Is this the same email that you are using here when you get AznoRth? Let us know what you find out,

    Hi there. What you will need to do is recover this account to your xbox 360 console, then change the Windows Live ID and this should resolve your problem.
