digital copy halo 5 how can i recieve the 14 day gold trial?

I bought halo 5 and the page that is supposed to give me or show me the code

says I need to buy a digital copy to be eligible but I already bought it, what can I do?

Xbox Live Gold Free Trial

I recently purchased an Xbox One bundle and received a free 14 day Live Gold trial code with it. I also received another 14 day trial after purchasing a copy of Halo 5. I activated the first code through my Xbox, and when I did it said that the code was
valid only for an Xbox 360 subscription. I then tried activating the second code and received the same message even though both codes accompanied my Xbox one purchases. Now I have used both of my trial codes and still can't access the multiplayer feature on
Halo 5. Can anyone tell me why this is and how to fix it?

Can you please provide us a link to the promotion you're talking about? Generally Xbox Live Gold trials are only in Boxed copies of games.

and here is a link (Gold Trial | Games | Halo - Official Site) given in game so you can recieve the code BUT for some reason it says that "YOU MUST
PURCHASE A DIGITAL COPY OF HALO 5: GUARDIANS TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR A FREE TRIAL OF XBOX LIVE GOLD." and I already have! (and yes I log in with the same account in which I bought it).

 

The code only lets you use it if you've not had gold before. I have the same slip, tells you when you enter it. The trial does not stack or add onto your account like most other codes.

 

The Code is only for new members of Xbox, I have the physical card. If you have Gold already, you cannot get it.
