Digital asks for disk

I bought the Ultimate Edition of Star Wars Battlefront yesterday digitally, however when I try to play the game all it does is ask me for the disk copy or buy it on the Xbox Store. I have checked my emails to see if my purchase may have been declined but
it wasn't and I still have the emailed receipt.

Xbox one digital download problem.

yup as stated above.. you can install of disk than do the digital purchase and the "digital license will still hold true.. i did this with bf4.. i had the disk because of day1 pre order/launch when i got ea access/the vault games i got it as a full digital no disk required and the digital code took over i now dont need the disk at all.

hey guys i baught my xbox 1 used from a pawnshop a year ago and had digital games on it they played fine till now . asks me for disk and get error need help

Have you gone through the steps found @
support.xbox.com/.../insert-disc-purchase-digital ?

I would suggest reading through that to see if any of those resolve your issue. Pay particular attention to #5 and #6; I've seen lots of time this caused problems for people making digital purchases.

Hi Crazy,

Thanks for coming to the forums. If you are asking if a digital save can be used with a disk version. Then yes, it is possible as it only is a save for the game. Licenses are issued to your profile for digital games, and disk games the license is on the
disk.

If the game asks you to upgrade within the game yes it's fee though its mostly ms made games that do that

HOWEVER if you are talking about a disk game it will ask you anyways BUT it wo t let you play it on the s as ita a digital only console

Meaning you can only play digital games not disks which require the disk

That's why I am only buying games digitally.. can't be asked to swap disks all the time.

Digital and disks are a thing you do realize that right ?

If you wanna save money and get the series s you have to buy the games digitally as it's aj digital console only

People still use disks despite what you think that's why there are ps5 slims and series x

And yes there is content that only coke on editions and no disk to digital isn't a thing

Gamepass is an option you will have to contact the developer to ask that question
