Different Microsoft accounts

Hi,

I have checked and I don't think I have any DNS ad-blockers so I'm not sure that's the problem. Is there a definitive way to find out if there are any active ad-blockers that might be hindering Halo Reach PC? Also I don't have the option in the game to switch
accounts, I've seen other people have this option but I simply don't have it so I can't sign out of my xbox live account and sign into my current microsoft account which is the account the game was bought on. Is this an issue that 343 are looking to resolve
as I don't want to have to start again by unistalling the game in order to sign in with my other Microsoft account? This reply is using my current Microsoft account, the original question was sent with my old Xbox Live account.

Sorry to hear it. However, I'm afraid that it's not possible to combine two accounts or transfer content from one account to another.

You cannot transfer items from an account to a different account but you can add an email and even make that email the primary on your current account.

There seems to be come conflicting information regarding your accounts and which account you say you own the game and which one has an Xbox Live profile. I'm assuming you bought the game from Steam if you had to login to a Microsoft account when launching
the game. If bought from the Microsoft Store, the game would be logged into whichever account is logged into the Microsoft Store since that is how the game checks for license ownership. In order to switch accounts on Windows apps, you need to add the second
Microsoft Account as a second user on your PC. This will present both accounts as sign in options after signing out from a Windows app.

Basically, the account which doesn't own the game would not be able to login and play the game due to ownership issues but you say you logged into Reach using a Microsoft account that did not purchase the game which does not make sense.

We don't have the proper support tools on the forums to look into your accounts for you and get that straightened out, but either way, it's an issue 343 knew about and therefore created that support article I linked above. Besides the ad-blocker, there were

I would also suggest getting in contact with Xbox Customer Support to get your account situation straightened out since there is some conflicting information that you provided so you know which Gamertag is the one you need to be using:

1. https://beta.support.xbox.com/contact-us.
2. Select Contact Us.
3. Select "Account & profile" in the first drop-down and then "I need a Microsoft account" in the second drop-down
4. If you are not logged in, you will be prompted to log in to your Microsoft Account at this point.
5. Once logged in, scroll down in the window to Other options and select Request a Call.
6. You can add additional information at this point if you'd like and then select Request call
7. A new window will open for you to enter your Country/region and your best contact number, then select Confirm and you'll be placed in a queue to receive a call back from Customer Support

Halo Reach on PC has been known to have issue with recording progress for the campaign and achievements. The main reason would be certain Ad-blockers not allowing certain Halo services from accessing your PC. The game would only be
able to sign in and be played with the Microsoft Account which owns the games or Game Pass Subscription so I don't think it's an account issue but rather an issue with the game.
