Did not receive PUBG code

I bought Xbox One X on Walmart on the 22nd.

Come the third, I still did not receive a code for PUBG.

I contacted Walmart, they told me it's a Microsoft promo, call them.

I do, they tell me it's a Walmart issue, contact them, so I did.

They once AGAIN tell me it's a Microsoft issue and Walmart cannot do anything.

Fast forward to now, Jan 8th, I call Microsoft back.

A nice lady offers me the code, but since the promotion ended on the sixth, the code will not generate, even though I got my Xbox in between the promotional period.

I hang up dissatisfied with no game.

I've spent over 4 hours trying to get this game that should have been included.

If no code is there anyway to simply get the game added to my account?, or a gift card for the same value? I am about to take the system back while I still can, and stay not having an Xbox.

And yes, this Xbox was part of the promo Xbox One X with Bonus PUBG Game Code and Bonus Controller - Walmart.com

PUBG 3-Month Xbox live promotion

I did receive the code for Three Months of Xbox Live but the pubG token for the downloadable content I still haven’t received.

I understand this an answer you have received a lot, but you will need to contact Walmart for assistance. As mentioned on the page linked in your post, Walmart are providing codes to customers who purchased the Xbox One X via email.
Since they are a participating retailer you bought the console through, unfortunately they will be the only route you can take for assistance.

Bought thinking I could use kinect and get PUBG, but apparently not. The Kinect is a different rant, I just want to know if I qualify for the code of pubg (the phone tech agrees that I qualify).

 

You would have to contact the retailer you purchased it from about PUBG. Generally you had to purchase the game at the same time as the console and it would show as free. Not all retailers were participating in the offer though.

 

When I bought my Xbox One X the retailer gave me the game card that had the Pass-key to download the Playerunkown's Battlegrounds as there is no hard copy of the game out at this time. I would definitely stay in contact with Walmart and or double check and
make sure that they had that promotion going on during that time. I know that not every retailer had that promotion running. I hope this was helpful thank you.
