Did not get MyVIP Star Rank or credits for pre-order/purchase of For Honor

Hello,

I know it's normally supposed to take up to 5 days to get rewards posted to your my VIP status. However, I have received no credit 6 days into the following month after the Pre-order and purchase for For Honor via the Xbox store on my Xbox One.

Is there anything I need to do regarding this?

You can earn Xbox Live Rewards Credit in two ways:

1. By finishing the offers located on the MyMissions page at Xbox Live Rewards .

-or-

2. For non-offer purchases, you can earn Credits by earning a one star MyVIP level through purchasing at least $300 USD or regional equivalent of eligible content. After you receive your first star you will begin to earn a percentage of your eligible purchases
back as payback Rewards Credit. Pre-orders, in-game consumables, and subscriptions are not eligible for MyVIP.

Since you are a zero star member, you do not get payback Credits on your purchases. You can check your current MyVIP level/progress at (Xbox Live Rewards).
As Smwutches says, your pre-order of For Honor would go towards the Games on Demand offer. However, as it is a pre-order, it will not award MyVIP progress.

A MyVIP Star Rank is an exclusive feature of Xbox Live Rewards that gives members a certain % back in Rewards Credits for monthly digital purchases made in the Microsoft Store on your Xbox or on Windows (retail Microsoft Store purchases do not apply). In
order to start earning your % back, you have to unlock your first star by spending at least $300 (or regional equivalent) on eligible content. While eligible purchases you make track towards your year-to-date Star Rank, your MyVIP Star Rank is recalibrated
each year based on your previous year's spend. As your MyVIP Star Rank grows, so will the % you get back each month. Plus, if you're an Xbox Live Gold member, your percentage doubles, and you can earn up to 10% back each month in Rewards Credits.

Please note: Purchase minimums refer to pre-tax totals.

Since you have not made 300 EUR in eligible purchases, you are not eligible for MyVIP payback, since you do not have any MyVIP stars.

 

Preorders do not count towards VIP.

 

But the game was purchased. You're telling me that my $60 doesn't count towards my VIP status just because I wanted to pre-load the game to be able to play at the midnight release?

 

Sorry, but yes. Per the terms and conditions, preorders do not count towards VIP. The game has to be released when you purchase it in order for it to count.

 

That's really, really dumb....Guess I'll be staying at a 1 star VIP forever now. This program gets more sad by the day.

 

It's been this way since September 2015, not new information.

What content on the Xbox Store is eligible for MyVIP?

Normally, most purchases for Xbox 360 and Xbox One from the Xbox Store qualify, including full Games on Demand titles (excluding game pre-orders), arcade games, indie games, game add-ons, game Season Passes, movies, TV shows, TV seasons, themes and avatar
items. In-game consumables, Xbox Live Gold memberships, Groove Music Passes, Microsoft Movies & TV Season Passes, and the purchase or redemption of Microsoft Points or Xbox Gift Cards, still do not qualify.
