Did Microsoft just create an XBox account for me?

I opened up Solitaire to try to learn the game rules for a class project, and after a minute or two it logged me into an account I'd never heard of. Apparently now I'm RockMango757131 which is not an account name I would ever choose. It also signed me up
for premium something without me clicking yes or asking it to. It's definitely linked with my ms account but I can't find any history on it except solitaire. Did MS create me an account without asking and auto-generate a username just so they can advertise
to me? Is there any way I can see when the Xbox account was created or something?

Hi, if you log in into an xbox on windows 10 game with your microsoft e-mail, Microsoft will create a dedicated account with a random username for you, for the first time you can change your username for free here:

This profile is linked with your MS e-mail and if you try to log in into the xbox website you can manage it as you prefer.

Honestly I did not get which premium thing you have activated/subscribed, could you please specify better?

When you first logged into Microsoft Solitaire Collection, it created a GamerTag/Username to be associated with the Microsoft Account used when opening Microsoft Solitaire Collection. This is used to track your progress(score, badges, achievements, etc).
This GamerTag is generated randomly and may be changed(1 time for free) if you wish to do so.

A 1 week free trial of Premium Edition is given when you first sign into Microsoft Solitaire Collection. The Premium Edition grants access to bonus exp, coins, tournaments etc, as well as Ad-Free. At the end of the free trial, you are given the option to
purchase the Premium Edition subscription or continue to play free, without the Premium features.

This sounds like a randomized account that microsoft would have generated for you. You will have a free name change so you can pick a name for yourself.

Thanks for the replies, everyone. I'm not really concerned about it, and haven't tried changing my Gamertag since I think I still have another account somewhere, but I wasn't going to play solitaire anyway I just needed the rules.

It's just kind of baffling to me that MS would create a random Gamertag and everything without any kind of confirmation or anything. I wasn't expecting it and had to make sure it was real.
