    I purchased a new Xbox one from Gamestop and, when I registered it online, the Microsoft site indicated that the device is "OUT OF WARRANTY". This is clearly an error, as I purchased the item new and the one year
    warranty period should have just started a couple of months ago! I cannot get in touch with anyone through the help site other than Xbox gamers, who are unable to help. The online helpdesk is not particularly helpful and unable to advise. Can someone from
    Microsoft get in touch with me to fix this?

    Much appreciated! However, I didn't buy the extra warranty from Gamestop b/c the console comes with a 1 year warranty from Microsoft.

    If you got the warranty from gamestop you should be able to go there and get it replaced since you bought the 1 year warranty there.
