Device not showing up when trying to install a free trial

Sorry to hear it. With the proper account signed in to the Xbox app please try shutting your pc fully down then restart it to see if that helps.

Thank you for posting on the forums. I'd be happy to try and help.

Do you see your PC listed under Devices when you log into https://account.microsoft.com/? Click on Manage under the small section for devices in the top corner when you
log into the home page.

I would also make sure that you have registered the PC if you happen to have a Surface.

Make sure you are logged into the same Microsoft account in the Microsoft Store app that you are in Windows and https://account.microsoft.com/. Just open the Microsoft Store
app and click on your profile picture at the top right to make sure and then restart the PC.

You don't actually receive a code. Once it's available for you, it will either show as free to download in the store or show up in your ready to install section of your games and apps.

But the game should show up in your ready to install?

All I've seen is a trial or the install from disc

If that's the one month trial, the Gold subscription won't show up in your account, since it's free and a trial.

Try to go online and download the free games with Gold, and that should be a proof of your being on Gold.

I can't, there is no option to purchase it for free and when i go to my library and try to purchase it, it says install on my devices and only shows my xbox
