    Developer Mode App installs but system update hasn't installed 2 weeks later


    Brought a developer subscription and loaded the Dev mode application app. Have activated the app - it then says almost there - need to update your xbox. Its been at this stage for 2 weeks. Have removed the app and re-installed - still same problem.
    Any ideas greatly appreciated

    @BC32 If I'm not mistaking, updates aren't installed automatically, they're downloaded automatically but not installed, however I think if you have the power settings set to keep ur console in standby mode that the consoles system updates will download and
    install automatically, but not updates for apps.

    Hi,

    I was on exactly same situation than you and solved it doing this:

    Unplug ac cord and wait 30 second. Later plug it again.

    1- delete all apps and games installed.

    2 - perform a reset to factory defaults in options/system. Process take a few minutes and you will see again the xbox green screen but be patient andwait until end.

    3 - select power saving start mode not the fast mode.

    4 - disconect network conection from options/net.

    5 - install all your games in offline mode and don't start it after complete installation

    6 - reconect your network and update your games if patch available.

    7- enjoy.

    where to download new XBL update

    The update is not being installed to all Xboxes today. It is being deployed in stages over the next two weeks. If you connectg to LIVE and are not prompted to install an update, then your console hasn't been flagged for the update yet.

    Games are taking too long to install on the One S

    I always install discs in (go offline) mode the xbox one installs the game and the updates at the same time which makes it slow. If I buy digital I hit the option to install updates later it helps.
