    I remember microsoft officially saying that the UWP dev mode would be supported on the series x, and although i could install the dev mode activation program for the series x and register the console as a dev console, it asks me to update my console to enable it but my console doesn't see any update

    Xbox one Console suddenly not seeing External drives, even brand new backup console.

    My console isnt picking up my USB HDD after the latest FW update ( series X )

    The drive in question is working fine on every other device i use it on still.

    I use it for game captures and it isnt showing up in storage devices under settings, or the media player app.

    any ideas?

    Which console are you trying to activate dev mode on? Are you using a console from Xbox One family or the Xbox Series X|S?

    If you're using an Xbox One, you have to perform this through the "Dev Mode Activation" app
    If you're using an Xbox Series X|S, you have to perform this through the "Xbox Dev Mode" app

    Thank you for your reply. My retail kits already have been activated and I had no issues using them on Dev Mode Companion until the latest upgrade.

    Developer Mode Stopped working after latest Xbox Update

    It appears that the latest xbox update is NOT COMPATIBLE with the version of DEV MODE that is currently in the MS Store. ATTENTION MS Developers .... PLEASE release a new version of DEV Mode that IS compatible with the new OS update. I will assist with
    builds or pull requests or even creating you guys a release branch if needed.
