    Details updates and WiFi Connection


    Greetings from Argentina. Iwanted to know if it is a configuration error of mine or a detail of the Xbox One X ... Every time I disconnect the console I have to enter again the WiFi key of the place where it is, either my house.
    Which is annoying because when I take it to a friend's house or connect it to my house, I have to enter the password again.

    Another issue is that I would like to make updates to the games installed or the console some details of the changes that were made.

    I do not know if it's the place to post. But the claim / query goes to the technical part of Microsoft.

    Constantly disconnecting from XBOX Live - XBOX 360

    I disconnected my ethernet cable, reset my wifi connection settings, then re-entered my wifi password and redid the Network Statistics test over wifi... this led me to see that my wifi connection was less than half as fast as the wired connection. So I
    plugged the ethernet cable back into the 360 console and so far 30+ minutes into the first movie I've watched and no disconnection issues.

    I'll update if the problem persists.

    rs3_release_xbox_dev_1711.171203-1700 wifi no longer working on original XBox One

    Yesterday my XBox One stopped connecting to wifi. Today, via a wired connection, update rs3_release_xbox_dev_1711.171203-1700 was fully installed. I read online that this update has wifi changes to fix wifi issues (with newer consoles?). I've never had wifi issues
    until yesterday when this release was made available publicly.

    None of the wifi troubleshooting solves the problem. I can now only connect using a wired connection. Since yesterday evening when I noticed the wifi was no longer connecting I can see my networks (2.4ghz and 5ghz) but the XBox is not able to connect to
    either one.

    you are connected to the cable or wifi? if by wifi, try to check the settings as the router password and tries to connect via cable, places greater detail in order to help you

    Try connecting the console to your network hardware with wired ethernet cable instead of WiFi to do the update. You can revert back to WiFi after its updated if you want, but wired connection is more stable and not prone to signal interference, which
    you may be getting from "all our other devices".

    Hi there,

    simple question indeed, but as far as I know there is no technical details about that.

    I do know that when a cable is connected you won't be able to select Wifi (connect to the wifi network) as network option.

    And since as far as I know the Wifi option is only one that can connect to a wifi network, it in itself isn't broadcasting in a way that other devices can find or connect to the console via Wifi, as in it's not a hotspot etc.

    Are u using wifi or directly connected to modem? If u r using wifi, connect directly to the modem and see if that works. I've had issues with updates using wifi.
