Destiny won't recognize my gold account; can't enter Crucible or Vanguard Strike

I didn't have this problem before tonight, but I cannot enter either place now. Everywhere else, it seems to be no problem. I can still see other players, enter public events, etc. But when I try to enter either of those two areas, I am told "requirements
not met". The game says I need Xbox Live Gold, despite my already having it. I spoke with MS tech support, who verifies that my gold account is up and active.

Does anybody know if someone has figured out how to solve this problem? I saw a thread on this forum from about a month ago concerning this problem, so I know it isn't just me, but I never saw a definitive solution. I've tried to get help from Bungie, but their
only means of offering direct help is via their forum. I've posted the question twice there, and have yet to see a reply for either one. I don't know what's going on, but it's getting hard not to be really pi$$ed off about it.

If anybody has any suggestions, I'm all ears. I'll take all the help I can get at this point.

Vanguard Marks?

Marks and reputation are earned separately. You will still earn Vanguard marks in strikes, crucible marks in crucible, but you rep will counts towards whoever you represent on your class item.

 

Gold account not recognized for Crucible play

When I try and access the Crucible, I get a message saying Xbox Live Gold required. I do have a Gold account, which I've verified through commerce.microsoft.com, but I still can't pvp. Any ideas about what I can do? I guess I need Destiny to recognize
my Gold account but not sure how to do that.

I download the free Gold games each month as well, so my Xbox One system is properly associated to my Xbox Live Gold account.

 

I have the same problem; I cant join a fire team

 

same issue happened with me, had to call customer support and they reset my gold account fixed the problem.

 

What is the number to customer support.
