Destiny: Rise of Iron pre-order

I pre-ordered Destiny: Rise of Iron and received the code in my email. When I went to redeem the code it gave me a $30 credit and said to select the game from the xbox store. However, in the Xbox store, the game only comes as a bundle. It will not allow
you to buy it as an add on. I have the Taken King and all the expansion packs. Why does it sell it as an add on but not allow us to purchase it as an add on?

Destiny Rise of Iron Pre-order

Does anyone know what happened to the pre-order? You can only order the Destiny Collection. There's no option just to pre-order Rise of Iron.

Same problem can't find any info on this. I don't need the collection i have all the other content just want the expansion pack. Help !!! please I pre ordered from gamestop and got a $30 code i guess i should have read the small print. Angry!!!!!!!

My friend and I were trying to pre-order Rise of Iron for Destiny late tonight and ran into an issue where we could not purchase the add-on. It was saying that the add-on was only part of the bundle, which is the "Destiny: The Collection" bundle. Here
is our work around that we found to work for both of us:

On your Xbox One in the Xbox Store...

- Go to "The Taken King" Destiny DLC page on the Xbox Store

- If you have the "Install" prompt (even if you own it and played it lots like me), INSTALL IT. I think this might update your license for the game.

- Go to browse games. Search "Rise of Iron - Pre-Order" rather than the "Rise of Iron - Add-on". THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT. The ADD-ON is part of the "Destiny: The Collection" bundle and is not available to purchase. However, the PRE-ORDER is MOST DEFINITELY
available to purchase.

- Go to the "Rise of Iron - Pre-Order" page (NOT RISE OF IRON - ADD-ON) and you should have a prompt to buy it.

- Buy it and be happy FINALLY

I hope this helps anyone else who is in a similar situation I was in trying to pre-order this DLC late.

You could also try loading Destiny and select the Rise of Iron icon from the mission selection menu. See if you can purchase the content from there.

 

Thanks everybody! I purchased it within the Destiny Menu itself. It showed my gift card and allowed me to make the purchase. I also received the pre-order benefits.

I pre ordered rise of iron at my nearest gamestop and I received a code for the sparrow the Gjllowhorn and an activation code containing the rise of iron preload, when I put the code in it gave 30.00 in my account but when I go to rise of iron it says its
only part of a bundle but I searched and typed the add on it says 'Destiny:rise of iron is currently not available. after this I went to destiny the game and went to go check if I can buy it in game and it says I can't connect to the xbox marketplace. if anyone
can help please respond =, it will really help

The code that you purchased providers currency to use towards purchasing Rise of Iron. In order to purchase Rise of Iron separately, your account needs to own all previous expansions. If another user has purchased an expansion and set your Xbox One as it's
Home console, that games license would not be associated with your account and you would still need to purchase it in order to buy Rise of Iron.
