Destiny multiplayer feature - "Players do not have access to this activity"

For the past 3 days I have been unable to access Destiny's multiplayer content (strikes, Crucible). When I hover over these activities whilst in Orbit, a message states 'Players do not have access to this activity'. All other game

My Xbox Live Gold account is valid until Feb 2019.

I have rebooted my Xbox a number of times to clear the cache but this has not helped.

NAT Type is 'Open'

Have tested Network and Multiplayer connections which are 'Good'.

Also having a similar problem with Fortnite, so it seems to be a problem with Xbox Live Gold.

Any suggestions? Thanks!

Locked out of Destiny 2 MP content

Getting message on Destiny 2 .....

“Players do not have access to this activity.”

I have cleared the OneX cache and restarted the game to no avail. Suggestions ?

free trial subscription

since you are not golf

im assuming you have 48hour or 14day trial

if so you do not have full gold features

if you are trying to access more then basic multiplayer features then that would.be why

you need gold for full access

Hi there,

please double check
http://account.microsoft.com/services to see if the subscription is showing there.

If the subscription shows, try the following steps

Remove profile from the console (Make sure you know the account credentials for the account, since you will need them later)

Perform the manual power cycle steps like mentioned on the following link, be sure to wait at least 60 seconds before powering on again:

Redownload your profile

If these steps fail, then its best to contact Xbox Support (via Phone or Microsoft Support Chat) at
Contact Us | Xbox Support

Let us know the results

Side note: Keep in mind that Destiny 2 will be offline for maintenance later today, so be sure to wait until it's back online before trying

Thanks WPAK. Tried all those things however I ended up on MS Chat and it appears there was a problem with Xbox Live which was reset for me. Worked straight away. Thanks again!

Here is the possible issue with your situation directly from Bungie (the publisher of the game)

Sharing Destiny Content with Multiple Accounts

Some platforms may allow players who own Destiny content licenses to share game content with other accounts on the system.

For information on how to access game sharing features, please see PlayStation Support or Xbox Support.

Players accessing Destiny content through the game sharing feature may not be able to access all DLC, add-ons, promotional items, or pre-order items for which the primary account owns the licenses.

Bungie does not support any issues with loss of access to items on accounts that are using the game sharing features to access Destiny content.

So in short there are certain Destiny 2 DLC that is not sharable.

That message is typically displayed when a profile is trying to access multiplayer features without an active subscription.

What game are you trying to play and do you have an active subscription?
