Destiny 2 release date still wrong on the store.

I understand that the ambassadors on this forum have been assuring us that Destiny 2 will launch on the 6th as intended by Bungie, but the fact remains that the store appears to be coded to not allow players access to the base game until september 20th.
Currently everything except the base game is available play on the 6th of september. That will be absolutely useless if the store denies players who digitally downloaded access until 12 days later. For months now the release date for consoles has been september
8th and more recently september 6th. If this is an issue with updating the current release date of the game then it should have been taken care of a long time ago.

Destiny 2

The Destiny 2 release date is Sept 6. It should be available at midnight in your time zone. If there is a different date in the store then it is a glitch.

XBOX STORE BUG, DESTINY 2 RELEASE

I'm trying to play destiny 2, long after midnight, but it's not letting me. On the Xbox, when I click on destiny 2 it says "you're too early", so I check the store and it says "available on 9/20/2017 12:00:00 AM". Please fix this bug so that the destiny
community can actually play the game on release date!

I believe the issue here is that the base game won't be available for purchase until the date specified, not that it won't be available to play. If you only want to purchase the base game then may I suggest this https://www.microsoft.com/store/p/destiny-2-launch-edition/bw0qh5vknn8j
as it will provide you with the base plus a couple of extras for a lower price.

I am hoping that this is just the case but i have not been able to find a definitive answer after hours of searching and contacting support. If midnight on the 6th comes and I am able to play the game i paid for then there will not be an issue. The way the
information on release dates is formatted by Xbox is atrocious and very much leads me to believe that they do not know the actual release date of this game for consoles set forth by Bungie month's ago.

It is currently 1:48 p.m. Central Standard Time and my digital copy of Destiny 2 is still not working due to release date glitch!!

I believe they meant the base game being available for purchase as a stand alone title not bundled with anything else. Currently the base game can only be purchased as part of a bundle. As a whole, the game will be available to play on the date I mentioned.
