Destiny 2 preorder payment failed, support could not correct, purchase will not complete

I pre-ordered Destiny 2 back in June and was able to participate in the beta event. However, apparently the payment has failed for some reason and support cannot correct the issue. The way I understand it, there are multiple issues preventing the transaction
from completing normally. It seems the game license still shows on my account, so the original transaction cannot be canceled, nor can I order a new one. The support agent and I even added funds into my Microsoft account to see if that would correct the
problem, however the transaction still does not complete. On top of this, I was told by the support agent that I am not the only one with this issue and as such my case cannot be escalated. Yet my case number was forwarded to "Microsoft Corporate", perhaps
outside of the normal escalation channels? To cap it off, I am following instructions given from the support agent's supervisor to post here. I was told it would be a record of my effort to correct the issue to avoid losing any pre-order bonuses.

I apologize if any of the the above is confusing. The list of issues affecting the transaction and the number of fixes attempted to correct it became confusing around the 90 minute mark on the phone. If I need to provide any more specific information or
a case number, I will do my best.

Destiny 2 Rewards Points

In order to receive the 15,000 credits, you have to preorder 3 games. Destiny alone is not enough to complete the offer. You would need 2 other eligible le purchases and the credits will be given after all 3 games have been released

 

Pre order punch card points not recieved!

Did you preorder any other games? Destiny would have counted as 1 punch on the card. You would need 2 other eligible purchases to complete the offer and receive the credits.

 

I'm having this issue as well. There wasn't money on my card at the moment it charged so now it just says payment failed and I cannot get it to go through , I don't know what to do.
