    Destiny 2 on Xbox app being updated by Microsoft


    Why is Microsoft updating my D2 game when it's normally run through Xbox app?

    I currently can't access D2 through either the Xbox app or from the start menu, where I keep getting this notice;

    "We’re updating Destiny 2. It should be ready to use again shortly."

    This has been occurring for well over an hour now!

    Also, I can't see the progress of said update to see what size it is or the speed it's downloading at.

    Any help appreciated.

    Next time I'll try the store for progress.

    There was obviously a glitch though, coz after several hours of no progress, I tried the old IT standby, turned the PC off, then on again.

    That fixed it. :)

    All games installed trough Xbox app will be updated trough the Microsoft store app as it's the one that manage all games installed trough Xbox app, in the Microsoft store you should be able to look at the progress

    If it wa purchased on your brothers account DLC does NOT TRANSFER between platforms

    Thank you for the reply!

    Sadly however this has not solved my problem, the Microsoft store still freezes if I try to install the Xbox app from there. And whenever I look at downloads and updates on the Microsoft store it permanently shows a loading sign, preventing me from updating destiny 2.

    Please let me know if you think there is anything else I should try. Thank you for the help!
