    Destiny 2: "Clear Some Space..." Error


    I may have discovered an issue tied to Destiny 2 and the Skip Ahead Xbox Insider tier. A new update for Destiny 2 comes out tomorrow. In advance of this, Destiny 2 requires a full reinstall with additional space requirements. I don't currently have enough free space on my internal storage, but I would have enough if I could actually clear space.

    What's happening is this. Upon bootup (instant on), I was bombarded with the 'Clear some space on Internal storage" error. Specifically, it's error # 0x80070070. Even before I could sign in, this error kept popping up. I could select from two options: "Free Up Space" and "Cancel". It doesn't matter which one I select. The first option brings up My Games and Apps... for 5 seconds. The latter option brings up the main menu... for 5 seconds. I had to brute force my way into signing in, but I can't even reach Settings like this. Oddly enough, I could report this problem, though. Also odd is the fact that I can open the Xbox Insider Hub app. If I open that app and don't press the Xbox button I can use the app without having the error pop up.

    I just finished contacting Xbox Support about this. Since I already tried hard rebooting several times and still can't reach Settings, Support couldn't help. Support wanted to factory reset my Series X, but there's no way to do that without being able to reach Settings. I think there may be a link between the current Skip Ahead update and the problem I'm having. Can someone from the Xbox Insider team please assist? Support this my console has corrupt data, but I doubt that. I was told to take it to a shop to get it looked at or spend $300.00 since my console is out of warranty.

    I just encountered this error! Turns out the update was trying to install on my main HDD which had no storage space left. Try clearing some space on your HDD.

    some step to try.

    1.reinstall the game

    2.clear up some space in your HDD

    3.or try moving the game save to USB

    Do you have enough space on your Xbox for Fortnite? You should be prompted to clear some space if not.

    If not you will need to clear up some space, by uninstalling a game, or some apps.
