Desktop Windows Manger Causing Lag While Cloud Gaming (PC)

Hi,

Sometimes when I play halo infinite on the cloud (PC) my game start to get video and input lag (mostly input). I've noticed that whenever this happens my desktop windows manager has started to use up a lot of resources on the task manager (I once saw it use up 100% of my GPU though the usage varies, today was around 30%).

I'm not sure if this can occur on any other games as I've mostly only played halo on the cloud but the desktop windows manager can start taking up resources when the Xbox app is open.

I have re-downloaded both of my GPU drivers but the problem still persists

Thanks for the response!

I think I fixed the problem by using the integrated Intel gpu for the xbox app instead of my nvidia gpu. I thought this might be because all Windows services (including the Windows gaming services) use the Intel gpu.

So far it seems to work fine but if the problem arises again I shall try to clean boot my pc like you said

I found a work around and that is to play the game on my laptop via a remote desktop connection to my desktop pc which has the full version installed. There is a bit of a lag, but better than no game at all. Microsoft Studios, please fix this!

Cloud: Eh, laptops sacrifice raw computing power for portability. While most laptops nowadays are sold with 8 gigs of RAM, I don't expect any of them to blow a desktop PC out of the water in specs.
