    Hey guys, so a while back I bought my first xbox live membership on my first Microsoft account. When I decided to move on to gmail, I permanently deleted that Microsoft account. However, before doing so I forgot to cancel the auto renewal on my Xbox live
    membership and I am fairly certain that they still have my credit card info and I am still getting charged for it. Everywhere I look, the only way that I can manage the xbox live account (to cancel it) is through my microsoft account....which doesn't exist
    anymore?

    Im at a loss as to where to go from here any help would be appreciated!

    How to Turn off auto renewal or cancel Xbox LIVE membership

    How to turn off auto renewal

    It is recommended that you cancel your Xbox LIVE Gold Membership using the option of turning off automatic renewal. If auto renewal is "off", your membership will expire at the end of its current term.

    Steps to follow:

    1) If you are not already signed in, click Sign In at the upper right hand corner and sign in using your Microsoft account.

    2) Proceed to My Account.

    3) Click Change next to automatic renewal. Change the setting to OFF

    You will be able to continue enjoying all the benefits of Xbox LIVE Gold Membership until your paid membership time expires.

    Note:

    If you want to cancel or disable your Xbox LIVE Gold Membership immediately, you should contact Xbox support. Use the Request a Call from Support option on the official Xbox Contact Us page. Your account cannot be canceled through chat or email.

    If you disable your account immediately, you will lose the time remaining on your membership subscription.

    If you are on a 2 Year Xbox LIVE Gold Contract, and you want to cancel before the end of the 2 years, you will be charged an Early Termination Fee and other applicable taxes. Once the two-year agreement period is over, your account will not be renewed automatically.

    You can cancel the 2 Year Xbox LIVE Gold Contract using the option of self-cancel your subscription on Xbox.com

    You can't cancel a free membership. There is nothing to cancel.

    If you're trying to get rid of an account altogether, there is no way to completely delete an account that has been connected to Live.

    I was given a one month trial when I bough my xbox that automatically changed to a recurring one month membership. Last month I upgraded the monthly gold membership to a yearly one. Yet this month, Microsoft still charged my account the monthly fee on top
    of the yearly one. So I am now essentially being charged for two live accounts even though I only have one! The "contact us" tabs on the Microsoft website don't open to anything, neither does the live chat option. When I tried to cancel the monthly subscription,
    the screen said the only one I have is a yearly membership, even though they just charged me the monthly fee last week!!

    I live in Ireland, I can't find any other way of dealing with this issue from the Microsoft website.

    If you're talking about the Gold membership, you can go to www.xbox.com/account, and pretty much in the middle of the page will be your Gold membership, with a link that lets you cancel your auto-payment.

    If you mean closing down your Microsoft Account, you'll need to move your Gamertag over to another Microsoft Account first, to free up your email and thus allow you to close it down. The Xbox profile will remain on the backup email, until such time as you

    If you have canceled your membership and are still getting charged I would suggest contacting Xbox support by phone.
