Deleted files for C:/XboxGames for game pass

I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble with your Game Pass installation. Since you have deleted the files for the XboxGames folder, it's possible that the games you installed may not work properly or may not work at all.

1. Uninstall the Xbox app and all the games you have installed.

2. Open File Explorer and navigate to the C:\Program Files\WindowsApps folder.

3. Look for the Xbox Games folder and delete it.

4. Open the Windows Registry Editor by pressing the Windows key + R, typing "regedit" and pressing Enter.

5. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Appx\AppxAllUserStore.

6. Look for the Xbox Games folder and delete it.

7. Restart your computer.

8. Reinstall the Xbox app and the games you want to play, making sure to select the correct installation drive.



Please note that modifying the Windows Registry can be risky, so it's important to be careful and follow the steps exactly as described. If you're not comfortable with this process.

Thanks but the game used to load fine for me when it installed to C:\XboxGames but now that it installs to C:\Program Files\WindowsApps it hangs at launch 🤔

Edit: so for some reason today I can install games to C:\XboxGames and Star Wars now launches without issue. Nothing changed at my end, perhaps Microsoft made a change at their end?

Try to create another folder on the Program Files directory. Like C:\Program Files\XboxGames. Just make sure it's inside Program Files.

Are you able or have tried to change the permissions of the entire folder first, then a sub folder?

C:\XboxGames should be the file path depending on what drive you save your games on.
