Delete Xbox profile

I have a gamertag I have used for years and this is the only platform I don't have it on because when I made the account it wasn't available. Xbox claims that you can change your name once for free, this is a lie as my gamertag is now available but yet
they want to charge me a nonsensical fee to change it for the first time. No, just erase my whole profile I will not use it anymore. I want it gone, like forever gone and it can be done I don't care what you try to say to lie about it not being able to be
done. I work In IT your BS isn't going to fool me.

When deleting a profile on Xbox 360 you are given the option to delete only the profile or also delete the items, if you choose to delete only the profile, this option deletes the Xbox profile, but keeps the achievements and saved games and DLCs.

You can delete it from hard drive, but it remain on MS's server.

If you call the support, you can ask they to delete complety your account.

They just updated the gamertag system so you should get a free change. https://support.xbox.com/my-account/manage-gamertag-and-profile/gamertag-updates-faq
You would need to go to https://social.xbox.com/changegamertag to change it.

Also, they didn't lie. The free gamertag change is the one you change the appointed name when you first sign up. So if you changed that one, there's your free change. But as Smwutches just mentioned, they've updated the gamertag system.

Your current Gamertag, if it's "KrypticKalElX1", would have been your free Gamertag change. That is not a Gamertag that Xbox would have randomly assigned when you first began your account. So now, yes, anything you might want to change it to from here
will have a charge associated.
