Delete only Xbox account from email/transfer email address to another Xbox account

Thanks for reaching out to us here on the forums with this inquiry. I understand you have two Microsoft accounts with Microsoft Account primary email address that you want to interchange. I recommend going to

Microsoft Account and clicking where it says "Manage how you sign in to Microsoft" once in there you can set up an Outlook Email as you're primary alias for the account. Then you can remove your other email to free it up and use it on the account you want
it on. Let us know with a reply how it goes!

Please be advised that Microsoft account and Xbox account are just one single account. They cannot be separated. If your Microsoft services or subscriptions are linked to that account, it will stay there with the Xbox account. What you can do is to transfer email address or alias from one account to another only if that email address is a 3rd party one. If that's Microsoft email, it cannot be transferred.

If you delete the account, you loose everything associated with it. Including the email address.

You can't transfer one Microsoft Email address from one Microsoft Account to another. You can switch out email address if the email addresses are not Microsoft ones.

What's your new email domain? If it's a 3rd party email address, you could just simply unlink it from its current account and move the email address to your old account. If that's a Microsoft email, there's no way we could transfer it over to another account.

We could only do switching of primary email address as long as it's a 3rd party email address. It doesn't work with Microsoft emails since their emails are Microsoft account itself. Removing them from the account means deleting them permanently.

In regards to data transfer, it's not possible. Our account licenses and other data will always remain on our account.

I never talked about merging accounts. All I was asking is whether a gamertag can be moved onto another account that does not have Xbox Live? For example can an Xbox Live gamertag profile be moved to a different email address from the present Microsoft
Account (email) and then be able to safely delete the Microsoft Email address without it erasing the Xbox/GFWL profile?

If that's not the case the system is pretty terrible. People are complaining on the video above that I posted that their Xbox Live profile was assigned to their mums/dads emails and they wanted to transfer it to their email, but they are saying this is not
possible and that it was only once possible on the Xbox 360. But since I don't have an Xbox 360 I don't know how else to transfer a gamertag profile into another email.

I would like to delete my live.co.uk email address due to email spams. There seems to be no way to individually delete that email address from the Microsoft Account without deleting the entire Microsoft account along with email, one drive, skype, etc. I will
obviously lose my Xbox/Games for Windows Live achievements, game licenses, etc.

I was asking whether there was a solution to this problem. Otherwise I will be permanently doomed between sacrificing my Xbox/GFWL profile over an email address being bombarded with email spams. Or alternatively I bite the bullet and delete everything. Obviously
I don't want to have to delete my entire Microsoft Account and start from scratch.
