    Defiance patch issues


    This is a last resort for help with this game before I consider it a wash. I originally got the free version of this game weeks ago. I downloaded it and installed the game fine. Weeks later I deleted a defiance file on my 360 console by accident to make
    room for additional games. No problem I thought. I'll just redownload the game. Nope. I purchased a copy of the game since I started playing because you get in game rewards for owning a copy. I can install the game fine but it wont patch! I keep getting "patch
    error" during the patching process. I have spent 3 hours chatting with Microsoft to determine my Xbox is fine. I have been emailing Trion, the games developer, for about a week now with no solution. I have had my ISP forward the ports required for defiance
    and Xbox live. I can download and install other games fine. I've tried reformattting my HD as well. I'm running out of options at this point. If anyone has any other ideas in open to try it. right now I'm waiting for Trion to get back to me.they had me test
    my connection which was download speed of 28mbps upload of 3.8 and ping of 11. It must be a Trion issue is all I can think. I have been gaming for years on PC and console without ever having such an issue with a game. Help!

    A lot of people are having issues with Defiance since the dlc/new patch came out.

    Download or Disc? Which one will you do?

    disc, it took 90 + minutes to download the defiance first patch.

    Defiance patch issues

    Have you tried clearing your cache before putting the game back in? This will remove any patches already on there and allow you to download and install the patches again.

    After all this hassle and trouble the problem ends up being the Xbox clock change Trion recommends for troubleshooting my problem. You have to have your Xbox offline to change the clock. My Xbox was offline but I couldn't change the clock it was "grayed
    out". I had to disconnect my Xbox then restart to change the clock. I did this before I installed the game and before I patched. It worked! I regrettably skipped this step. Not sure what the clock change does exactly but it solved the problem. I hope this
    posting help any others that face this dilemma.

    defiance is going free to play...

    Hopefully this means Defiance will get more players on the server, it seemed sparse sometimes. I like the game, I just don't like the patches. The things are huge go to play the game but have to wait 20+ minutes for a patch sheesh.
