Dead xbox account retrieval.

My brothers one s had died months back and he recently got a series x for Christmas, no one has the account details to log in, am I able to take the one s harddrive out and plug it externally into the series x to retrieve the account? If not any advice would be great, thanks.

Not only that, but it is not possible to do what you mentioned, Xbox hard drives are encrypted.

However, if you don’t recall the email address of your brother's account, you may want to try recovering it by submitting the account recovery form but using instead a previously linked phone number or previously created Skype username (is not the same as our gamertag)

Its a specific game mode like TDM, but the dead enemy (or friend) will drop dogtags when killed. You or the enemy can retrieve the dogtags. Retrieve your friends dropped tags to keep the "kill count"/tickets down.

If it's not finding the drive then perhaps the drive is dead. Sorry to hear it. You won't be able to retrieve your game saves but you can redownload all your DLC from your download history.

On the console go to Settings>Accounts>Download History.

If this is the account you are having difficulty with you need to delete the profile from your Xbox and retrieve a new copy from Live.
