Dead Space 2 NTSC Xbox 360 2-disc game compatibility with Xbox ONE console

Dead Space is region locked by the EA publisher for the xbox 360. The region of the digital game is only NTSC U/C & NTSC J compatible and if you own a PAL console you will not be able to download the game.

Thanks for reaching out to us in the forums for this issue. As the game you're referring to is the USA version on the discs, and you are in Europe, you may receive a message regarding the region when attempting to install it as a lot of games are region
locked. In short, the most likely answer would sadly be no, but it never hurts to give a try just in case.

The Xbox One is region free, so you should be able to play the NTSC version of the game on a European PAL console.

Portal does not appear to be compatible with Xbox one, however dead space is listed as a compatible game for Xbox one and so is Portal 2. Could it be your account has restrictions on purchasing games?

Dead Space 2 is definitely backwards compatible so if it's not working on two different Xbox's then the discs may be damaged or dirty. You said there are two discs, what is the 2nd for and have you tried both discs on both of the consoles?

Also do you have an Xbox One and an Xbox 360 or two Xbox One's?

Go ahead and do a
hard reset and power cycle the Xbox One. Hold down the power button on the console for about 10 seconds until it shuts down and then remove the power cable from the Xbox and the power outlet for about 2-3 minutes. Then
re-connect and turn on the Xbox.
