    Dead By Daylight not playable on Game Pass Windows 10


    While trying to play Dead by Daylight the other night on my PC using Game Pass Ultimate, I noticed that the game never actually loads into the main menu and this seems to be a common issue from a few quick google searches.

    First, the Easy Anti Cheat launcher that the game uses wouldn't open the game because the "Service Update" had failed and I needed to go to https://www.easy.ac/en-us/support/game/guides/service/ to manually download a new version of Easy Anti Cheat. After replacing the original version with the version the launcher told me to download, the game would now load up, but just gets stuck on a black screen before loading the main menu after the intro video.

    I've tried reinstalling the game and Easy Anti Cheat multiple times, updating graphics drivers, updating windows, all with no luck and never getting to the main menu. As far as I can tell this issue seems to be somewhat widespread and yet no one has found a solution as if yet that I can find.

    Thank you for confirming this for me, as I have also run into this issue. I reached out to one of my team members, and they suggested opening a support ticket with their Interactive, the developers of the game. Here is the link. You can submit a ticket by clicking the “submit a ticket” button from the main page. I am having someone further investigate the issue as well.     Just tried the driver signing solution from that support page, but I'm still getting the black screen issue.

    I hope you are doing well today. Welcome to the Xbox Community. Thank you for reaching out to Xbox Forums. You are getting an error surrounding the Easy Anti-cheat software when playing PC Game Pass. I am happy to help and hopefully suggest solutions to fix the issue. I researched this specific error that is specific to Easy Anti-cheat. Here is what I found on their support page. I was also able to replicate the error on my end and that fixed this issue for me, which you encountered. You can also look at the solutions titled EAC error codes 1-4. Let me know if this fixed the problem.
