    Dead by daylight launching error (0x8007042b)


    Hi yesterday I tried dead by daylight but ran into an error (0x8007042b). I've searched all the internet for this and still haven't fixed it. I have a window 11 system and a gamepass. I have tried a large number of solutions but none has helped.
    Here is the list:
    run by administrator
    updating the system (no update)
    reinstalling the microsoft application (including gaming services etc)
    enabling xbox and other services
    troubleshooting tools
    port change to port dead by daylight
    resets and fixes microsoft store, dead by daylight and xbox. This error is supposedly related to windows update but I don't have any updates. I'm on build 22622.575 beta.

    Sorry for the late reply, I'm glad to hear that installing the game to a different drive does the trick!

    Thanks for the update.
    Probably the insider version is still causing the issue.

    But if you don't mind I can advise you to move the game to another drive (for example if you installed it on D: drive, move it to the system drive C: and open it)

    If you already tried that and the reset/repair buttons don't fix the issue.
    The next step will be wait for a new insider update or exit the insider program

    Edit: As you already tried the repair/reset and reinstalling anti-cheat.

    The last option before wait or leave the program would be move the game to the system drive just to test.
    Well, it must be some kind of Windows bug. After doing a reinstall, the game started but I received the message "EAC cannot be instantiated". I tried to fix it by reinstalling eac and using file verification but verification stops at 100% and then I restart. After the reboot, I got the same error again as at the beginning, so I went back to the starting point. I will try to move the game to a different partition if I can find some space. If that doesn't help, wait for unregistering me from windows insider.

    So, are you using a Windows Insider build, right?
    I ask this due to this: "I'm on build 22622.575 beta"

    Usually the things you tried fix the issue. But if the issue persists could be an issue with the game not compatible with the current insider build (this is normal, if you have this bug that doesn't mean everyone on the same build is going to experience it)

    And as you already tried basically everything, the next step would be go back to a stable Windows 11 build and try from there or wait until a new Insider update.

    Don't forget to report the bug!
    Hi. I decided to reinstall the game and now I don't have this error. But I have another. The point is that after about 10-15 seconds of loading the game, the easy anticheat window will start. It loads and then turns off and the game does not start. When a new update to win 11 comes out, I will try to exit windows insider. Can I do something now or do I have to wait? Edit: Edit: I reinstalled easy anti cheat but it didn't help. I also used the repair option.
