Dayz server access through Nitrado

Hi,

I have already spoken with Nitrado about this before I'm asked to speak to them and they have told me also it's a Microsoft problem so please don't ask me to speak with them.

This question is for someone from Microsoft/Xbox relating to servers through Nitrado.

I am wanting a descriptive answer to this question as there has been no definitive answers from this team on this matter.

My question is why does Microsoft/Xbox restrict Nitrado servers on dayz? The only access they and us as the community renting/paying for servers is to XML files only and that's all you get.

Bohemia interactive have said there is no restrictions from them and they don't see any reason Microsoft would restrict this as they are wanting the community to mod ect and take the game further.

Can someone from Microsoft please answer that in detail and explain why you have not changed this.

Hi,

My apologies I assumed it was regulated by Microsoft employees it would be a massive help for some people.

I have been in touch with Nitrado and even on their site states Microsoft/Sony restrict access to servers for DayZ we have only been allowed access to the XML files only, there is a lot more to it than just those files.

On PC there's no restrictions at all and have full access to every single part of it.

Can you or someone possibly point me in the right direction as to someone official I could possibly speak with about it? There's been loads of complaints about this since the Xbox release with servers yet Microsoft have never bothered to address this even Bohemia don't know why this is and I have been made aware they have been contacted Microsoft in the past and are still awaiting a response from them.

But scottb13321, but, what I know is that Microsoft actually does not restrict servers from Nitrado. :/

We understand where you come from; However, we don't have any kind of control over the in game servers. For any in game servers related issues, we highly suggest contacting the developer of the game and letting them know about your request.

It not a issue Microsoft rules don't allow players to mod the files ie for us to mods the dayz or run mods like what you have on the pc you have to have access too the init.c file and other files like this on the server and because of the rule. bohemian won't allow nitrado to give us access too any other files but the xml files

For what game did you rent a Nitrado server?

I assume you are probably trying to rent a Minecraft server, right? The Xbox and Windows 10 version of Minecraft do not support Nitrado Minecraft servers. They only support Realms and a few selected online community servers.

If I misunderstood your post, please describe in more detail what Nitrado server you got for what.
