Days of no network speed

Thanks for the responses, Paul reminded me that I have a pair of DLans that have worked but my speed test was via the xbox, all other laptops and such get our isp speed (8mps roughly).

I'm guessing a wireless booster could improve things for the xbox. Anyway thanks guys

Hi Jack,

If you’ve already reset your router/ modem, I would try contacting your Internet Service Provider to find out why your speeds are so slow.

If the problem still persists try and hardwire one of your consoles with an ethernet cable and see if that makes any difference (if you’re using wifi).

How long does this happen for, when it happens? Is it just a few minutes, or hours? The only reason I can think of that the network speed goes down to 0 would be if it's not connecting any more with the Wifi or internet connection. Does your internet ever
drop or stop for a period of time? A few years ago I used to have a bad internet service that would just drop internet several times a night and it would disconnect me from Xbox Live. It would last anywhere from a few minutes up to 15-20 minutes, then it would
come back up. I wound up switching internet providers and then I had no problems. I would check the internet connection first and go from there. Good luck!

Has you have a loss of around 20% i would say this is cauing the issue with the speeds and effecting your experanice when using your console. You would want too use a wired connection and this would greatly help the situation. If that isnt possable then
you can look at changing the wireless channel that your console is using or changing your band if your router supports 2.4 and 5gHz.. This is a router setting so you want too contact your ISP or router manfactor.

A other option would be too use a power line you can buy these online from places like amazon some ISP will also give them too you for free if they offer that. This uses the power lines and sockets in your home for your internet connection
