The Xbox series X will not read the MW2 disc, I have returned it and tried 3 separate copies of the MW2 disc, the console will play other games/discs and read dvds/blue rays as well. But will not read any MW2 disc I insert into the console. The disc will read on my Xbox one. I installed it there and network transferred all the data to the series X and upgraded all the data that was transferred but the console refuses to read the MW2 disc.

You can have Xbox One games on your external hard drive that will get an Series X upgrade but the games will need to be transferred to the Series X and then the Series X upgrade will need to be downloaded onto the Series X SSD,

I have Marvel Avengers on my external hard drive that will get the Series X upgrade and I will transfer the game over to the Series X SSD ready to download and update the game to the Series X version when available.

Thanks for coming to the forums. Unfortunately, at the moment there is not a lot of information on the Xbox series X. I know this isn't a lot of information on the Series X but all that is out is what can be found is on
here.
We recommend just keep an eye out for any further information. AS far as transferring account. This will most likely never happen as it would take a lot to transfer all data from one account to another.
