Dashboard not responding to controller inputs

    Again, a full shut-down / restart fixes it. But it's a new issue for me, and I'm seeing a lot more issues of late. Mostly minor but they're adding up.

    Turned Xbox on using controller, the profile associated with it signed in (with the wrong colour... still) but after the first input (scrolling down to pins) it ceased to respond to inputs.

    I could hear it making noises as if it was navigating , but the dashboard didn't update. Pressing buttons didn't do anything, but holding down the Nexus button brought up the guide which worked fine.

    Reported from console.

    Right analog thumb stick stuck looking up.

    I'm not so sure all of this is faulty controllers.

    Yesterday I started having an issue on the dashboard where the left stick wouldn't move to navigate the dashboard. It would last 20 to 30 seconds and then suddenly every input I had made with it when it wasn't responding moved through my dashboard.

    Strange thing is, when the stick doesn't work the other controller buttons still do so it's not an issue with the dashboard being frozen (if the "TV" is up in the large box it's still playing too so definitely not a frozen dashboard). This is occurring with
    both my controllers.

    I just sent Sniper Elite back to GameFly after only two levels because of what I believed was unresponsive controls, now it appears it may not have been the game.

    Followed the link and that did the trick! I was having the same exact problem, and after transferring content license to my new 360 I can play Aces again. Thanks again GeneticFusion for providing this solution!

    When the game first released, there was a splash screen that required button input to move on. After an update, the screen was removed, but you are still required to input a button press. If memory serves me right, hold down the start button while it's loading,
    try that and let me know if it fixed it.

    Also, if you recently got a new Xbox, you also have to transfer the license if you havent already. Go to

    support.xbox.com/.../download-content     if the above fix doesnt work and see if that helps.

    Hey, yes, took the powercable away this morning went to work and plugged it in again.

    Latest Firmware is installed. There is no newer version available to download.
