Dashboard fails to load when a game is opened

Honestly, it could be anything. Considering the console boots and fails to load the dashboard, there are only a few things. The first things that the dashboard loads on boot up is your profile(s). They're all enumerated and then one is loaded if it is set
to auto-login. The console also connects to the internet, either via WiFi or Ethernet cable. Then the dashboard loads the general..dashboard. It could be any of those things. You can't do anything for any of these other than controlling whether or not it connects
to the internet, or attempting to stop it from logging into a corrupted profile. Unfortunately it seems like Microsoft fails to put in any fail safes for when something with the dashboard goes wrong. Shoddy programming on their part, but there's unfortunately
nothing that can be done. If it was hardware related, it's unlikely that your console would freeze in the same spot every time, and it wouldn't even finish POSTing during the logo.

I go to launch the game, and once I click play game it goes to a black screen to initiate it's loading, but it goes back to the dashboard saying This Game Cannot Launch, MW2 Failed to Load.

Try clearing your hdd cache by going to system, storage and hovering over your hdd and pressing Y. This may help. Also is this occurring when you choose to skip signing in? If so, it may be your profile. In which case delete it under storage and simply recover
it back to your hdd. You still need your password, but this too might help.

If you end up deleting your profile, be sure just to delete the profile only, otherwise you would delete savegames etc as well.

You could also try to see what happens when using a different profile.

For a while I thought the problem was on my end but after settting everything up right on my router and making sure my nat is open I still have the problem, dont bother with the other guy, this is a huge problem affecting most players, but if the problem
is not on your end, the game should throw you back to the lobby when it fails to load the race, then you can see the one person that got stuck loading forever, if you are the one loading forever and you always have to go to the dashboard, you need to check
your nat and router or modem!

Last night I could only play 2 races in 2 hours, all other attemps failed to load!
