Dashboard and console slow down when starting or joining a party

I have run into a constant issue starting yesterday regarding joining and starting an xbox live party.

I was play a game with a friend when an error message appeared regarding my local storage and suggested that I clear local saved games and then the saves will be resynced once I sign into xbox live.

After doing this, now my xbox will run and launch games fine, but the dashboard slows down significantly when I try to join or start a party. The party is never made and it will occasionally freeze my inputs while on the dashboard. Eventually, the dashboard
will not launch and even restarting the console will take some time.

I've tried power cycling the system and cleared the cache. I have also cleared the persistent storage from the blu-ray drive. None of this seems to fix the issue.

Additionally testing shows the problem also occurs when I try to download games from the store.

Found in another thread and it seems to fix the issue.

1. Power off your console, and then unplug the power cord to ensure that the console is completely powered off.

2. Wait 30 seconds, then plug the power cord back in.

3. Press and hold the BIND (controller sync button located on the left side of the console or bottom right if a one S or one X) and the EJECT button and then just press the Xbox button on the console once.

4. Continue holding the BIND and EJECT buttons for 10-15 seconds.

5. Listen for two “power-up” tones a couple of seconds apart. You can release the BIND and EJECT buttons after the second power-up tone.

6. The console should power up and take you directly to the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter.

7. To reset your console from the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter, use the D-pad and A button on your controller to select Reset this Xbox.

9. When prompted, select Keep games and apps. This option will reset the OS and delete all potentially corrupted data without deleting your games or apps.

The console only freezes when I start sending messages from the double tap. After 10 or 15 messages it'll just start slowing down then eventually freeze. It's a bug with this new dashboard.

\When on my dashboard the console is connected to xbox live, but when I start a random game (for example CoD MW3) the console disconnects itself from xbox live. When I go back to the dashboard it automatically connects to xbl again, so when I try to join
an online match it just magically disconnected itself at the start of my game. When i start my game it tells me someone wants friends to play MW3 but it seems i don't have an xbox live connection though. On the dashboard I can still start and join parties..
BTW I DO have xbox live gold =) (just to prevent people from random bullsh*tting)

Ran into a few sound issues when joining a party or backing out to the dashboard temporarily, normally quitting Destiny and starting it up again works.

I would highly expect more updates quickly and then slow down over time since they know they have a bunch of things to add or fix. Party chat with ability to join games together like bf4 that works easily would be a good start.
