Dark Souls Issues

Greetings:

I have taken great interest in the Dark Souls franchise since playing it for the first time through Dark Souls 3; however, my ability to fully enjoy the franchise has been hampered by glitches and system voids that affect all players.
First and foremost, and of most financial interest for your company, is the unavailability of DLC packs for both Dark Souls 1 and 2 on Xbox Live for Xbox One, a curious matter considering they were FULLY available just prior to the Xbox Backwards Compatibility
release of Dark Souls 1.
Second are glitches taking place in the Xbox Backwards Compatibility version of Dark Souls 1. The first one being whereby items that would increase the Item Discovery stat, and in effect SHOW such effect when selected but not worn,
have NO effect at all when worn (Covetous Gold Serpent Ring and Symbol of Avarice). This is a HUGE issue considering many, if not most, of the most valuable items in the game are rare drops from enemies. Similarly, there is another glitch with the Forest Hunter
covenant whereby invader kills are NOT counted, which effectively makes this covenant and its rewards useless and unavailable and hampers players' options to collect the achievements for all rings and, consequently, the all-other achievements achieved ("The
Dark Soul" achievement).

I have attempted to contact From Software with these issues, as well as the official Dark Souls page, but have sadly received no attention whatsoever. Likewise, Bandai Namco redirected me to you, the Xbox systems, as "Backwards compatibility
is a feature that is supported by the first parties..." and "They may be able to provide additional troubleshooting or workarounds specific to the individual systems that we would not have available (since they are the creators of the consoles/systems)."
I'd appreciate a reply of any kind this time, hopefully eliminating said issues.

Dark Souls II Curse Trailer.

Have I already said that I'm way too hyped for this game? Cuz I am!

They've changed a LOT of things but it's still sort of the same, just like how Dark Souls is to Demon's Souls. They had issues with money for Demon's Souls and issues with time for Dark Souls, hopefully they don't have problems with anything for Dark Souls 2 so that it can truly be the excellent game it deserves to be.

 

Dark Souls 3 Server Issues

I realise intermittent server issues are common to the dark souls series. However, currently it is worse than ever. This is server-side as many others report similar issues to other sites. I have a solid 100mbps connection with open NAT and no issues with
any other games or live services. Completely unable to join Dark Souls 3 servers, receiving the message "Failed to log in to the DARK SOULS 3 game server.". Wouldn't ordinarily complain but the issue has become more rampant than ever and appears to no longer
have a workaround.

Hey, Dark Berserker! I've moved you over to the Back Compat forum to get you better visibility. All of the issues you are having are relating to the Back Compat version of the game, which isn't the same as the 360 version.

We are aware of the issue with stats not being increased by wearing a couple of items, and are working on resolving this. Any other issues you are having, you will want to check out our
Troubleshooting sticky. In there are some steps that you can take to help alleviate any issues you are having. If they don't help you out, we suggest filling out the survey at the bottom. This
will get your situations to the team that works on Back Compat issues. Thanks for understanding!

 

Considering the issues with the Covenants are, like the stat-increasing issues, glitches; what are the chances they might be resolved concurrently?

 

Likewise (and I apologize for beating a dead horse), the DLC "issues" I mentioned cannot truly be related through the Troubleshooting page nor the survey since they are issues of availability and not of system.Is there anything I or you can do to transmit
my concerns to the ones responsible?

Actually filling out the
Backward Compatible Survey is the best way to get the concerns to the team as they look at all of that information.

In regards to the DLC packs, which ones in specific are you having a problem locating and or downloading? If you're seeing an error, would you be able to link us to a screenshot of the error you're seeing on the console?

Fortunately the glitches were fixed in a recent patch, and the DLC availability "issues" I referred to for Dark Souls 2 were no issue; I simply didn't notice the change from the game and separate DLCs being sold individually to game+all DLCs sold as a single
purchase. However, a question does remain: Will the Artorias of the Abyss DLC for Dark Souls 1 (Backwards Compatibility) become available any time soon?

I truly appreciate the quick replies from all of you, by the way!
