Dark Souls digital version for Gold members runs unpatched

Hello everyone, hopefully Microsoft is already on this issue, if not hopefully someone from staff will notice this post.

Yesterday I started playing digital version of Dark Souls and as many noticed that the game actually is version 1.0 without any patches. There was no promt to patch as well, meaning that game might run different Title ID to retail version and forever stuck
in 1.0 state.

There are lot of issues assositated with unpatched game:

1. Very unstable framerate, was mostly fixed with a patch on retail, really obvious on GoD version

2. Balance fixes - all of the are absent from this version, meaning game is broken in some places difficulty wise

3. Online - you can't play with people on retail version, you are only able to connect and play with people on GoD version since game versions are different. Meaning barren worlds

Hopefully it will get fixed soon.

Incorrect game version when trying to load?

So, does anyone know why it is that they needed to make the new version? I notice that it's listed as "Dark Souls (2014)" in some menus. Why did we need the new, unpatched, DLC incompatible version for the Games with Gold deal? It's a bit odd that they'd
release a free game, let you pay for DLC, and- whoops! The DLC doesn't work with the free game you bought it for!

What does this accomplish?

yep. I just tried to explain to a MS support rep and he was clueless. I have little faith MS cares one whit.

 

Just talked to three different support agents! None had any idea what so ever. But get this, None of the three knew what dark souls was and when I did explain the issue they finally found there "resource" and said that xbox was in contact with EA on fixing
this issue. FACEPALM what! Electronic arts has no affiliation with the game! They could not for the life of them get that. Ugh does xbox hire toddlers to take care of customer support?

 

And I hope it gets fixed as well. I want to play with my buddy who owns the disc version
