Dark Souls 1 (360) on Xbox One. Can't save game.

Hi,

I'm trying to play Dark Souls 1 (360 disc) on an Xbox One but can't save the game. When it gets to the point where it would auto save the console prompts a profile download. I go through the motions but the profile won't download. A message says that the
console can't connect to xbox live and the game doesn't save. How do I fix this issue so I can save the game?

This is the auto save message that is displayed.

You don't need a 360 specific account,you can use a account created on the xbox one.

You will need to be online in order to play backwards compatible games.

Little confused as to what you mean by "auto save" as you have to save your game manually at bonfires in Dark Souls.

The only place it might auto save is when you leave the opening prison area.

Do I have to have an Xbox 360 account to play Dark Souls 1 on Xbox One?

If yes, how can I create one without and Xbox 360?

Do I need to be connected to xbox live to play the game or can I play it offline?

Thank you for taking the time to post this on the Xbox Forums. We understand that you are experiencing difficulties with being able to save data to your Xbox 360 profile.

In this instance, I would have to recommend that you first
remove your account from your console. Once this is done clear your
Xbox 360 storage, this will have you restart your console.

As soon as this is done, go ahead and add your account once more, and then you should be able to launch the Xbox 360 title to then download your Xbox 360 profile and this should help with being able to save your game.
