Dad and son multiple player in game pass, gaming together on the couch on console 2 controllers

How can my younger son play games with his dad with 2 controllers one console on his game pass account. They are wanting to play games together but we can’t figure out the multiplayer player mode. I shouldn’t have to get another game pass for my son? We only have the one Xbox in the house. Help would be greatly appreciated so they can have fun gaming together on the couch.

The halo games. I know when we were younger you could have multiple people playing as teams or against each other with split screens. We just recently purchased the game pass to have more access to games. I’m not sure if there are other games that this might be possible to do with game pass?

Multiplayer, configurations, and how it’s accomplished depends on the game, if you could tell us what game they’re trying to play, we could give better advice. Where exactly are they running into an issue? More information you can give the better.

With game pass, they both can play each other under just my husbands account? We didn’t purchase the game, it’s part of the game pass for Xbox live

It'd only available on halo mcc or bc titles of halo

Halo 5 and onward don't have coop campaign locally

What kind of limit is one console per household? That’s not game sharing is it if I need to buy multiple copies of games or multiple game passes for my 2 sons. What a joke
