help get as far as selecting a storage location when trying to down load my profile on 360 emulator but no cloud or hdd option shows, says can't find any storage and I can't get past this screen

but in your case IF you have no save to the cloud and never activated it, so choose delete 360 storage and then see if they save on your xb1

I'm sorry to see any issues with your hard drive being detected! It sounds like USB devices in general aren't being recognized. If that's correct, be sure you are trying a different port on the console. However, if those aren't working either, a

factory reset might get this resolved for you.

If that doesn't help, then you will need to get your console repaired or replaced. You can do that through our
Device Support page.

On my xb1 I get this far.... thought it's supposed to be a cloud based save?

And it's a dlc game so no physical disc... but I owned the ultimate edition previously...

i may have confused you with that extra info about the cloud. we never setup the "cloud" storage on our 360's.

both xb1's along with both the original 360's will be online...

If you play a back compat game on XB1, the 360 save is going to your cloud save. from the xbox 360, when selecting the save location, just select cloud storage and the file from XB1 will be there. From the storage section on the 360 you can copy that
to local USB if you want a back-up, or remove the cloud save and upload a local save if you had a different file you wanted to use, etc.

Have you activated or checked out your xb1 cloud storage? ( or activated it on your 360 ) try to play a game and save to cloud on it as a test, then you can delete it, then try the xb1 again see if that works for your saves..
