    Login Information

    DHCP Reservation

    1. Open a web browser and in the address bar enter 192.168.0.1 and enter admin for the username and leave the password blank when prompted.
    2. Select Setup from the top menu.
    3. Select Network Settings from the menu on the left.
    4. Under the section that says "Add/Edit DHCP Reservation" select the box for Enable.
    5. Enter a description for the Xbox under "Computer Name".
    6. Enter the MAC Address and IP Address of the Xbox.
    7. Select Save.

    • Password - (blank)

    DHCP Reservation

    1. Open a web browser.
    2. In the address bar type in the default gateway (http://192.168.0.1) or click the link.
    3. When prompted type in the user name “admin” and leave the password field blank.
    4. With the “Home” tab at the top selected, click on the “DHCP” from the menu on the left.
    5. In the section labeled “Static DHCP”, click the radio button next to enable.
    6. In the box labeled “Name” type in Xbox.
    7. In the section labeled IP, type in the last octet of the IP address of the Xbox in the blank box.
    8. In the section labeled MAC address type in the MAC address of the Xbox.
    9. Click the green Apply button at the bottom.

    Okay cool, so to recap, I should do this dhcp reservation step first before I go into the port forwarding step. And DO I have to hard wire my computer via Ethernet to the e4200 for this dhcp reservation while having my Xbox turned on and connected to the
    e4200?

    An open NAT is no guarantee that this behavior will be consistently open for each endpoint on your network.

    Can you see if your router support DHCP reservation, or IP reservation. If so, setup both console's to have their IP address reserved in the DHCP of your router. Before you setup this, make sure you reserv a unique IP outside of the DHCP's dynamic IP pool
    range.

    Is there any chance you can try with a wired solution?

    You do not need to reserve an IP using DHCP reservation with a router that is well-behaved.

    What is the make/model of your router? If you are using DHCP reservation that is the same as using a manual ip address, so just use DHCP reservation and leave your ip address on auto
